Macedonia hosts Luxembourg in the Euro 2016 qualifying group C second round.
Macedonia has serious problems with football now in the country, level is very poor and results of the National team are horrible … 10 defeats in the last 15 matches, including run of 5 matches without a win and 1-5 defeat in Spain in first round of Euro 2016 qualifying. Macedonia could not even beat the likes of China and Qatar recently and it is not looking good for them this Euro 2016 campaign. A win at home vs. Luxembourg is very important for them to redeem themselves, hosts will be under pressure to deliver.
Luxembourg will obviously come to defend and hope to not concede … maybe hit on the break to get a goal. Macedonia after recent results will approach this match with maximum attention, will not underestimate Luxembourg and will try to play a careful possession game, hoping to keep a clean sheet and find 1 or 2 goals over the 90 minutes. In my opinion the under 2,5 goals bet on this game is in an excellent option, good odds (decreasing) and good probability for a win; no side poses much offensive threat and no side will take too many risks. So my tip will be an ugly, slow game and under 2,5 goals to be scored. Simple bet really and as a sidenote I am not sure Macedonia can win. Correct score prediction: Macedonia – Luxembourg 0-0.Luxembourg with some very interesting results in the last two matches … 1-1 draw vs. full strength Italy side before the World Cup and in the first round of Euro 2016 qualifying group they got another 1-1 draw at home vs. Belarus. Of course Luxembourg is still one of the worst sides in European football but their progress on the defensive side of the game can not be denied and they showed they can hold even better opponents than Macedonia to draws.
